How far each AI story tool writes for you

From a written story to scenes: what four tools claim

Four names readers search for lead to pages outside this register, and each is read here the way the register reads its own tools: where the writing starts, what comes back, and what happens to the draft next. Where a matching register reading exists it is set alongside; where none does, the page records that too. As of 2026-10-13.

Four makers, one question put to eachEach maker's pages carry something different: a writer built into a serial pipeline, a storyboard workflow, a project measured in scenes, and two video makers whose pages name a planning step and no script. The register asks the same six writing questions of every tool, so what a page answers is what can be compared.Morphic and DramaSoPlans and credits on one side, abeat sheet and storyboard stillson the otherTwo readingsOne page takes thewriting onMootionUp to 64 scenes on Plus, 50,000characters on ProA project sizeCounted in scenes, notminutesKling and VeoStoryboarding and Scenebuilder, elements and ingredientsA planning stepThe words are yours towriteThe six writing questions this register puts to every toolHow far each maker's pages say the writing goes

The same exercise runs through all four pages. One takes Morphic and DramaSo together on how much of the writing each maker's page takes on; one returns to Morphic for the full-length question; one sets Mootion's scene count against the way this register counts a story; and one puts Kling and Veo side by side on the step that comes before the shoot. Each reading ends at the same question: how far did the maker's own pages go?

Three habits run through every page here. The maker's own wording is quoted for the point in question, with the day it was read. Where the register holds a matching reading, it is set beside the claim, because what a register holds and what a product promises are not the same kind of statement. And one line in each table comes from SceneMixer, the writer this register reads on its own pages, quoted from the sentence it was taken from.

Nothing here ranks the four. What this site does is record what a maker's own page states and date the reading; the four pages extend that habit to names the register does not carry, and where a page left a question open the page says so rather than closing it with a guess.

1The four pages here

  • Kling and Veo — what each vendor's pages state, where the planning step sits in each, and the duel the threads count between them.
  • Mootion — what Mootion states about project size and where a script lands, beside the register's ways of counting a story before it is written.
  • Morphic — what Morphic's own pages state, and the register's longest stated ceilings — the ground on which a full-length claim would have to stand.
  • Morphic and DramaSo — two maker pages read for how much of the writing is theirs, and the register's spread from an editor for your own work to a full serial draft.

Dates: the maker pages behind these four readings were read on 2026-10-13, and the register's own readings go back to 2026-09-25. Both are read the same way, as set out on the method page; the tools the register carries are listed on the register.
