1Starting from a script rather than an idea

Someone who already has a script wants something different from someone who has only an idea. The tool has to take the draft as written, split it into scenes or episodes without rewriting the story, let the running length be set and hand the result on to the next stage. A maker earns one point for each of those four things its own page states, and nothing for a point the page passes over.

4Why the next-step point needs a careful reading

Pages word the hand-off differently. Some say the script goes straight into video; others say it becomes the project's source text for the next stage.
