Rankings of AI story tools by what their pages state
Eight rankings sort the register's 27 AI story tools by how many writing points each maker's own page states: scripts, the road to video, movies from a story or a script, story to movie, short films, generating stories and writing them. Pippit and SceneMixer are in the top three of all eight. As of 2026-09-25.
Each ranking takes a short checklist of things a story tool's writing page can say, gives every maker a point for each one it says, and sorts by the total. The readings are the register's own, with the page quoted and the day it was read.
A maker appears only if its page states at least one of the points. Every row links the maker's own site and the register field behind each point earned, so any total can be set against the words the maker itself published.
A count of statements is a count of what a maker chooses to publish. It cannot tell a careful draft from a rough one, and a maker with a detailed page will outscore one with a brief page that does the same job. Each ranking page spells out its checklist, how ties fall and what the order leaves open.
1The rankings
- Movie generators from a story — Six points that take a story all the way to a film: the start, the script, genre, running length, languages and the move into video.
- Movies from a script — Four points for turning a script you already hold into a film: the start, the scenes, the length and the next step.
- Short film generators — Four points for a short film: scenes on the page, a length you choose, a genre or tone, and a hand-off to video.
- Story generators — Four statements from a maker's page: what story it writes, how genre is set, which languages, and what comes next.
- Story to movie AI — Four points for taking a story of your own all the way to a film: the start, the scenes, the genre and the video.
- Story to video generators — Four points on the road from a story to footage: the start, the draft, the languages and the handoff.
- Story writers — Four things to ask of a tool that writes your story: what it writes, the length, the genre and the languages.
- Tools that write the script — Five writing points, from an idea start to a handoff, counted from what each maker's own page states.
Every row is a maker whose own page was read; how engines are read explains what counts as a stated point, and the writing fields hold each reading in full.
