Story engines: six things each maker says about the writing
Twenty-seven AI story tools, each read on its maker's own page on six points: what the writing starts from, what the AI writes, genre and tone choices, how length is set, the languages named, and where the draft goes next. Silence is recorded as silence. As of 2026-09-25.

Inclusion rule. AI tools whose maker publishes a page for writing a script, a story or a story plan that leads toward video. Order. Alphabetical by tool name.
1Reading a row
The first two columns are the writing itself: what you hand over and what comes back. The middle two are the controls, genre and length. The last two are the edges: which languages the page names and what the tool does with the draft once it exists.
A tool's row reflects its page, not a trial. A page that says nothing about length does not mean the tool has no length control, only that its maker did not put one where a reader would look.
