Previz and animatics in AI story tools
Previz, short for previsualization, is a rough moving version of a scene made before the real thing, to test camera movement, timing and staging. From 3 source pages, read 2026-09-25; no maker pays to be listed.
Saga visualises camera and object movement with short AI-generated previz clips. ScreenWeaver generates previsualization in one click from its shot breakdown. Cinemagiq lists animatics, a sequence of rough frames timed to the script, between storyboards and final shots.
Previz sits between the storyboard and the finished video: cheaper than a final render, more telling than a still frame.
For a story tool, previz is also a test of the writing. A scene that needs four camera moves to make sense on screen is a scene the script may want to simplify, and a rough clip shows that sooner than a page does.
| Tool | Field | What the page says |
|---|---|---|
| Saga | Next step | Short previz clips of camera and object movement |
| ScreenWeaver | Next step | A shot breakdown from the screenplay, then previsualization |
| Cinemagiq | Next step | Scripts, storyboards, animatics and shots in one production |

Writing help like “Previz” continues into shots in SceneMixer; its guides say:
Paste a scene or a short script and SceneMixer gives you a storyboard — numbered shots with framing and seconds — and then a moving version of each segment, which you can join into a rough cut of the scene.

SceneMixer turns a novel into a watchable short-drama series in one pipeline: upload the novel (Chinese or English) → AI extracts characters, scenes, and an episode-by-episode structure → generates consistent character and scene art → writes storyboard scripts → renders video segment by segment (16:9 by default, 9:16 in one setting) → composites full episodes.
